Here is your 2014 Oscars Open Post, hosted by the greatest romance we’ve seen all season, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill. I remember the way Jonah and Brad Pitt romanced eat other during the Moneyball Oscar campaign, but this campaign for Wolf of Wall Street has really brought out some new and special sides to Leonardo and Jonah. Like, Leo LOVES Jonah. That’s his new BFF. And Jonah thinks the sun rises and sets with Leo. Theirs is a bromance for the ages. We’ll be talking about their love for years and years.

I’m taking a chance by putting Leo up as the host of our Open Post because there’s still a possibility that Leo could actually win Best Actor. As the weeks have continued… there’s less of a chance, granted. But I do think Matthew McConaughey is going to walk away with Best Actor. And while Matthew maybe/probably deserves it… his Oscar campaign has been a real turn-off for me. I’ve enjoyed Leo’s Oscar campaign much, much more. And of course, there’s the sleeper: Chiwetel Ejiofor. It really bugs me that Ejiofor isn’t a bigger contender.

Anyway, this is your Open Post and feel free to talk fashion and awards and whatever else. We’ll be adding new posts tonight for the big categories (the four acting categories and one post for Director/Picture, which I’m guessing will be split between Gravity and 12 Years a Slave) once they are announced, and we’ll have extensive fashion coverage tomorrow.
