Cynthia Baileys Fiance And Sports Commentator Mike Hill Thought Drew Breess Comments Were Inse

Drew Brees has already educated himself and changed his opinion about the notion of peaceful protesting by kneeling during the National Anthem at football games. However, criticism for his original comments is still coming in.

Cynthia Bailey’s fiance and sports Mike Hill was asked about what he thought about the New Orlean’s Saints player’s original comment that he would never approve of anyone ‘disrespecting’ the flag.

He told Hollywood Life: ‘When it came to Drew Brees, I just thought that it was tone-deaf. I thought it was bad timing, I thought it was insensitive, I thought the first thing that popped out of his mouth was just wrong.’

Drew has already apologized and said that he was an ally in this fight. He has even schooled Donald Trump on why he’s changed his stance after the president tweeted about him.

‘I am a big fan of Drew Brees. I think he’s truly one of the greatest quarterbacks, but he should not have taken back his original stance on honoring our magnificent American Flag. OLD GLORY is to be revered, cherished, and flown high…We should be standing up straight and tall, ideally with a salute, or a hand on heart. There are other things you can protest, but not our Great American Flag – NO KNEELING!’

The athlete politely explained to Donald by telling him that they’ve got to stop using the flag as an excuse to ignore the bigger issues like police brutality and systematic racism.

The NFL also came out with a statement that seemed to apologize for their initial response. However, most people want the NFL to step up and hire Colin Kaepernick back after blacklisting him for starting the kneeling movement.

Hill also commented on Colin.

‘When it comes to Colin Kaepernick, they should’ve given him a chance a long time ago. We know the reason that he never had a chance to come back to the NFL. It had nothing to do with his skill set. He was black balled. Whether it’s to play for another team or just to work with the NFL which the NFL put out a statement and basically said all of the same things that Colin Kaepernick was basically saying. Absolutely I think the NFL should work with him in some kind of capacity.’

Hopefully, all self-proclaimed allies will put some action behind their words.
